This Original Yellow 1977 450SL has only 43,111 miles on the odometer hardtop included . Well loved by its previous owners this is in running condition. Please see video. Nardi steering Wheel and Automatic transmission.hardtop included . It still has the original Becker radio. The Mercedes-Benz SL Sporty- Light was the name of the lightweight race cars Mercedes raced. The lighter the weight of a car the faster it can move. Sporty it is and easy to drive with its V8 4.5 liter Bosch Fuel Injected with 180 horsepower. But by no means is the SL light at 3,400 pounds. For consumer safety Mercedes Benz added steel to reinforce the body. Even at 46 years old there is no sound of rattles or squeaks. The R107, Mercedes debut its first year in 1972. It has a three-speed automatic. No manual transmission was offer. Suspension was fully independent and four-wheel disc braking was standard. Mercedes did not introduce automatic climate control until 1978. The 450SL model ended production with the 1980 model year being replaced by the 380SL. The 450SL averaged about 6,000 units annually from 1972-1980. Highest sale $117,600 Lowest sale $1,579 Most recent sale $23,100 per Hagerty.
