Seller's Description & Comments 1978 GMC Jimmy K5 Classic Square Body Blazer 4x4 Lifted. When this truck arrived we were undecided on what effort to put into it but after realizing how perfect it was from the chassis down we had no choice but to put our touches on it. Yes, the body is rusty and the floorplans do have holes, if somebody had a donor body this would be perfect. This would be a fun toy/off-road hunting rig. The stance looks great for this fully functional four-wheel drive. This unit has completely replaced brand new front driveshaft and all steering components for the lift kit, changed dual steering stabilizer, new bolts, new front and rear springs with bushings no blocks at all, fully new exhaust including headers all the way back with Flowmaster, 8 inches of suspension lift, new Warn locking hubs, 35 mud terrain tires and alloy wheels. (Also available as the photos also show with the new 35 boggers and 16 wide custom offset two-piece wheels at $19995) . Again from the chassis down this truck is ready to rock and very solid.. we’ve looked it over very closely.. But chassis up she is rusty. We even left the era-correct old-school diamond-plated steps, which could be removed to make it look much taller. The interior is (best we can tell) original and very era-correct with its plaid seat inserts, five-position transfer case, updated radio but still over 30 years old, removal half top, and spare tire still in the back bias ply tread. This truck runs down the road excellently shockingly better than you would expect as the rugged Offroad look but with all brand new suspension components underneath. Sold as is due to the rust factor and the need of floor pans to be properly legal for Va and other states, also noted items are the gas gauge does not seem to work, stereo will not turn on and speedometer cable is probably broken. We have serviced the truck change the oil and again all exhaust is brand new functional usability of the truck is as it should be even the 4x4 operates excellently.
